NGO - LINK TO LIFE

Each year, thanks to donations from the participants of the race, Mauritius Marathon contributes financially to realization of projects and provides support to this NGO.


Link to Life has been set up since 2002 by a small group of volunteers which includes cancer survivors.
The Association is a non profit-making organisation whose main purpose is to provide support and counselling to cancer patients and their families.
It has been duly registered with the Registry of Associations in November 2003 and is a member of MACOSS and Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Our CSR No (N/1063)

The Objectives of Link to Life is to:

  • Provide Counselling and support to patients and their families.
  • Train Volunteers to give moral support to patients.
  • Help patients to lead a normal life by using prosthesis & wigs.
  • Create public awareness through campaigns in schools, firms, community and social welfare centres.
  • Provide free transport facilities to cancer patients from the vulnerable groups to attend chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments at Victoria hospital.
  • Free Breast & Cervical Cancer Check up at Link to Life.
  • Monthly activities with children suffering from cancer (creativity workshop).
  • Organise therapeutic activities such as group therapy and individual therapy.
  • Conduct home visits to provide psychological support to needy patients.
  • Provide vaccines against cervical cancer to young girls from low-income group.
  • Providing computer courses to cancer patients who wants to become IT literate.
